Jonathan’s wanderlust has taken him around the world and back again. Having worked earlier in his career as both an art director and copywriter, Rosen did award-winning work at creative shops Wieden & Kennedy / Amsterdam, Leagas Delaney / London, Fallon / New York while serving five years as a creative consultant in Sydney, Australia with longer-term stints at Saatchi & Saatchi and Publicis Mojo.
Rosen would eventually move back to his hometown of NYC where he would graduate top of his class from NYU’s Film Director’s Intensive Program. This would become the impetus to combine both his passions and launch one of the first hybrid agency/production companies, Lucky Branded Entertainment, where he served as co-founder, CEO, CD and film director. Lucky had success creating online content for high-profile brands such as Google, Nike, Diesel, Speedo, Starbucks and even produced a TV pilot for Teach For America.
Jonathan moved on from Lucky to take yet another creative leap – this time into the art world. He’s since exhibited in NYC, Sydney, Taipei, Paris, Hong Kong and in 2018 had participated in his first museum shows in Shanghai and Miami. His work lives in permanent collections around the world such as The LiveStrong Foundation in Austin, Bloomingdales NYC and Colette in Paris. Rosen’s different worlds often collide as he regularly collaborates with brands on interactive and experiential art activations, including Refinery29’s much-celebrated 29Rooms.
With his entrepreneurial spirit still running hot, as well as a love of tech and art, Rosen launched another startup called Artsparkr. It’s a platform that helps creatives of all-disciplines find much-needed funding and creative opportunities. It already has amassed close to 3000 opportunities and over $31 million in arts funding as it continues to roll out features and builds future revenue streams.
Most recently, Jonathan has worked as lead creative director for Derby Content, a live-action production company and creative lab where he has developed award-winning work for clients such as S’well.
Rosen is currently available for agency freelance and direct-to-brand work.
